Tujatane Charitable Trust School & Twaabane Creative Centre, Zambia – (£45,500 Donated) Tujatane School was set up in 1996 to educate children from poor families in the surrounding villages and has steadily grown in stature, now schooling nearly 300 underprivileged children up to age 15. Since 2018 I have been closely involved with a programme to empower adults in the surrounding community. Twaabane is a Centre for Zambian Crafts, teaching skills which will create livelihoods. To date the Centre has a Textile Project which makes and sells clothes and accessories to tourists and a Market Garden selling fruit and vegetables in the local markets.
