“My Mind’s Eye” May 14th to 19th 2024

Place Farm Barn, West Horsley Place – 10am to 5pm (4pm Sunday 19th)

An exciting exhibition of contemporary fine art set in the beautifully modernised Place Farm Barn at West Horsley Place. With an eclectic mix of paintings, drawings, ceramics and glass, together with sculptures in the Barn courtyard and meadow, this exhibition is a feast for the eyes.

The paintings in the exhibition span multiple genres, abstraction, landscape, figurative and still life. In tune with the title ‘My Mind’s Eye’ the artists all share an expressive approach to painting, using line, form and colour in an original and imaginative way.

Featuring Liz Hauck, Tessa Pearson and Sylvia Igglesden, the exhibition also includes paintings by the Wildwood Artists’ Collective together with invited Guest Artists:

Jane Alexander  Jane Bissix    Pilita Bryant    Becca Clegg    Colette Clegg  Suzanne Clinton  Sarah Cox   Ros Flanders   Bianca Hendicott   Mandy Jillings  Jo Mitchell Long   Sophie Milton   Peg Morris   Joanne Olney   Debbie Tearle Antonia Thompson   Anne Winstanley Wood   Julia Woodham  Rob Middlehurst

Curating contemporary paintings together with ceramics and glass brings the exhibition to life and evokes how the art might be styled in a home. The exhibition features elegant glasswork from Adam Aaronson, the delicate ceramics of Ali Tomlin, Jane Eastell and Ruth Tabet together with lyrical ceramic by Kayley Holderness.
